Toronto, Canada, July 2, 2015 – 3C Contact Services (www.3CContactServices.com), North America’s premier cost-effective provider of contact center solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, is weighing in on a recent study on the adoption of cloud computing by businesses.
According to a study performed by Oxford Economics and SAP, 69% of the businesses surveyed expect to invest in the cloud either moderately or heavily over the next three years, migrating their core business functions as a result. Even now, 44% of businesses are using cloud computing benefits to launch new business models, a number that is expected to grow to 55% within that same time frame. “Cloud computing is changing the very definition of how 3C Contact Services does business,” says Damian Reyes, Customer Service Manager at 3C Contact Services. “Now that cloud computing has moved beyond the ‘new and exciting’ technology phase, many organizations are taking a much more pragmatic approach—namely, determining how using the cloud can drive revenue.”
According to the study, 41% of the businesses surveyed expect that cloud adoption will help with their bottom line and many expect that adopting cloud technology will boost employee hiring and retention by 50%. The call center industry has a notoriously high turnover rate amongst agents, so this will help managers immensely.
Of the businesses surveyed, 58% expect that adopting the cloud will increase their earnings by up to 50% over the next three years by increasing their purchasing power as well as the platforms they can use to reach their customers, such as mobile devices. Surprisingly, only eight percent of the businesses surveyed said that they will adopt the cloud to improve efficiency.
In the past, many businesses have been reluctant to adopt cloud computing because of security concerns. But as the technology has improved, so has security. Even now, 31% of the respondents to the survey said that adopting cloud computing has had benefits for their business, such as improving their organization’s efficiency.
“Cloud computing is going to become the industry standard within the next few years,” Reyes concludes. “Any company that doesn’t adopt the cloud in some form runs the very real risk of being left behind. 3C clients are made aware that it has a number of benefits, such as cost savings, improved efficiency, and more.”
